When choosing to buy skates there are three main factors to consider price, durability and stiffness, and comfortability. For extreme ice skaters or people who are looking against to the extreme ice skating, after you determine the amount of volume which you would like to spend on ice skates the probably most important factor is durability and stiffness. Comfortability is a big compromise because you do want to get a lot of speed and enjoying your power out of your skates.
Therefore, the one you are looking to buy new skates try to squeeze the boot in at the sole area and also on top. At the boot squeeze is in fairly easily then this is a boot or an ice skate that you would not want to purchase. Squeeze in the both end and it does provide some stiffness and of course the next step would be to try to skate on and make sure it fits. Make sure that the width of the boot works for you as well as the actual size of the boot, and from there you can either buy the skate or you can ask other people or friends, or they are forms on the internet that you can try to ask other people their opinion on a particular skates on which you want to buy.
