Choosing Wine A Full Day Romance
Wine Pairings a Full Day of Romance
For this full day of romance I would like to start with a Cava in Spain the Dry Sparkling wine. This one calls the Hiuda Biuda paired with freshly squeezed orange juice or a company the flocky pancakes and fresh fruit perfectly.
For the finger food picnic prepared by Cheryl which is a diverse mix of flavors of salty and sweet, we have a very special wine. This is a Rosette, Rosette is traditionally coming from France and Spain and are not to be confused but what we know here in the United States is White Zinfandel. This Rosette is from Argentina, it is bone dry and refreshing. It has a straight forward fruit flavor yet it is rich in that to balance how the sweetness and saltiness of the crisp rolls rolls, a salty sweet tapanaut and a rich smoked salmon.
As you can see it has a gorgeous color and it makes it perfect picnic core. For dinner Cheryl has prepared succulent pork tenderloin and a sweet honey grape sauce. Now, the sweet salty and a bit spicy flavors that make up this dish need a wine that had enough balance acidity to cut the through the food yet fruit for enough to balance how the succulence of the pork.
This pinot noir from Oregon exudes aromas and flavors, fresh blue berries, black berries and lilacs that has a meaty deafness that will go great with this dish. For desert a white chocolate moose with fresh strawberries. We have a Moscato d’ Asti straight from Italy. Moscato d’ Asti is a sparkling wine it’s sweet but not syruppy with accents of fresh apricots and peaches. It has muskiness that contrast very nicely with the sweet white chocolate in this dessert.
