Choosing a Ceiling Fan

Meghan: Some people wait their entire life to be swept away while others take matters into their own hands. No, today, I am going to request the answer it myself. You see where I live, it is really, really hot in the summer and the only way you can open up your windows is as if you have a ceiling fan. So while I was here at the Trading Post Fan Company, learning about outer ceiling fans, answering a reader’s question. I thought that why I cannot get a question answer for myself. How do you pick out a normal ceiling fan? Dana: And if you want the air conditioning you know you can put it down lower. In the winter months you run it in a clockwise direction. Meghan: Running your ceiling fan in a clockwise direction recirculate the hot air from the top of your room to the bottom, which keeps you feeling toasty during the cold months and to get the most energy efficient ceiling fans, look for the one with the Energy Star label and make sure you get the correct size ceiling fan for your room. Dana: You do not want a fan that is too small because that will not really do a job for the room and you do not want a fan that is too large because it will over power in the room. Meghan: Plus you have papers flying everywhere. Dana: That is true. Meghan: When checking for the size of ceiling fans, look for the blades span. The blades span will tell you the over all width of the fan. You can change the size of your ceiling fan by changing out your blades, but more importantly by changing the blades. You can change your fans look. You can also do the blades. Dana: You could change the blades, you can make the blades come in different lengths, they come in different finishes and sometimes they have a decorative texture something on them. Meghan: Do they? Dana: Yes. Meghan: So you can get all different types of blades. You don not have to use just the substandard. Dana: No, I mean here is a very unusual example of it. Meghan: And if choosing a unique blade is not enough. You can also up for interesting white pictures and of course a number of different finishes and when so liking which styles and finishes best for your room. Do not fall into the common trap. Dana: White is the most popular color, believe it or not because ceilings are white. Meghan: Really! Dana: So if people do not want to put a lot out of them just use the usually required. Meghan: But with so many beautiful ceiling fans available. There is no reason to have a blend in. So like the ceiling fan that complements the current styles and colors in your room. Make it a part of your decorating skill. Not just a necessary evil. You never know, your ceiling can become your favorite accessory in your room especially, if you are up for one with all of the cool
