Male Speaker: Come in?
Tim Moynihan: Hey, come on in. Have a seat. Let's talk about you today and how these cameras can help you, do what you want to do. If you're the type of the person that you just want to simple easy to use camera with a large optical zoom lens. This is the Nikon Coolpix S8000. It is a $300 camera with the 10x optical zoom lens. This is a very, very easy to use camera. Very small for a pocket mega zoom, very thin, it might actually fit into a pocket. This has four automatic controls you don't expect any manual tweaking, but if you are looking for an easy to use camera it takes quick photos. This is the Nikon Coolpix S8000.
Now for more of the fast action type of shooter, you know. Well, let me just tell you about this camera anyway. It is the Casio Exlim EX-FH100. This has Casio's high speed shooting mode. It takes 40 frames per second. So if you are shooting line of sports then this would probably be good for you because you can actually slow down the in game action taking 40 shots per second. And then if you want to take the best sequence for best shot from that sequence it is easy to do that in post. This is the Casio Exlim EX-FH100 and it also has superb battery life.
Now if you are a just the type of person who wants the coolest in camera stuff. Can't really go wrong with this. It is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V this is a 10x optical zoom camera. It has lot of things built into it. One GPS although you can't view your image on a map with this one although you can with the another camera I'll tell you about in an second, you offload your clips you've tagged in the camera. And then if you install this software that comes within on your computer you can overlay all your images auto map where they were taken. So that's kinda cool. Yeah, it is has intelligent sweep panorama mode which let you take instant panoramas, very nice. It's also very good for back lit images and low light images it has special modes for those. So this is a $350 camera. This is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V.
Now if you are looking for an other GPS enabled camera, that let's you actually look at your photos on a map in the camera itself. Here is the Samsung HZ35W. This is a 15x optical zoom camera, which is the largest optical zoom range of any camera really of this size. This takes amazingly sharp, very good photos, did the best in terms of overall image quality of any of the pocket mega zooms were looking at here. The only thing that it's a little bit if you on this camera is the menu system is little complicated. There is a lot of stuff going on inside this camera. So the menu system has a lot of stuff in it sometimes you have to dive deep into it to get what to you want. For manual controls after priority shot and priority and for manual. This is a $350 camera. And the GPS is right in the camera.
Let's move on to probably the camera that is going to please the most amount of users. This is solid across the board. This is the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS. This is a superb camera for video, did the best in our video test for all these cameras, $350 camera. Very ergonomic, has a this trench kind of around here and so of a hand grip. So it's very easy to just hold with one hand if I want to steady it with this. It's kind of pop-up flash right here, you can click up and down. And this has four new controls, very easily use. It maybe not as simple minded as the Nikon, but it does offer a lot of stuff for both beginners and more advanced users. Thanks to the manual controls. So again $350 the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS.
So what I would like it to do is think about what type of person you are, and may be think about what camera suites your needs?
