Hello and welcome To the Knee Pain Guru, Knee Pain Questions Answered.
I have a question here from Kevin that says, Hello! Your video testimonials on your website are very convincing, especially the one with wheel. That was really convincing. Anyhow, my son is in Marines, he is the Marines and I have had knee pain. It seems almost forever for 24 years, because I did 24 years in the Navy, running on steel decks, well, you know what I mean. I suggested quad, hamstrings and calf exercises and wall squat. But anyhow, he had to do physical training everyday. Anyhow, thanks a lot.
Well Kevin, I'm not exactly sure if you're asking me for a help for you or for your son. Definitely, the quads, hamstrings and calf exercises and wall squats will definitely be beneficial for your son. However, there is a stretching component that comes into play when doing those exercises that I think you might be missing here.
So, I go over that in my book, 'Stop Your Knee Pain Now'. Two of the big components actually would come to mind, one is that you're using the exercises to both stretch and strengthen the tendons and ligaments, and that's by fatiguing the muscles and getting the muscles out of the way.
The next piece is, understanding a breathing component, which also relaxes the tension that builds up in the nervous system that contributes to the knee pain as well. So hopefully, this answer answers your question, and if that does not, please email me back at bill@thekneepainguru.com.
Thanks a lot. We'll talk to you soon. Bye, bye!
