Hi! David Caris here for 2-minute guitar tricks, I’m not going to show you a trick right now. Actually what I’m going to do is talk to you about tone and a lot of you are trying to achieve classic rock tones and some of you are probably wondering what I’m using. I’ll tell you later about what brands and panels I’m using. If you’re interested and you want it, well send me an e-mail. I’ll be happy to tell you guys about that but it’s essentially, if you want to achieve a lot of the classic rock tones, you’re going to need probably to have a distortion pedal and a compression pedal and then I think it’s nice to have a river band your amplifier or the lapel.
The other thing is I would say, by all means of course, have a digital tuner to tune to; very important to be in tune otherwise nothing really sounds that good. And the other pedal you might want to consider getting is a course pedal and those are really handy to have. So generically those are the pedals to get.
You want to have a distortion pedal, a compression pedal and you want to have definitely some sort of a delay if you can afford to get one or something with reverb because that will make the sound a little more wet and spacious and that’s basically it. That’s all you need.
Thank you again for checking out my channel. I hope you’re going to subscribe to it and send me e-mails if you have questions about what tonal recipes you’re looking for or how you want to approximate the sound of something such as you know, “Hey I want to try to get sort of a guinea pig sound or I want to get a sound by Eric Clapton”, you know, what do you recommend I’d do to get those kind of sounds and maybe I can help you out and sort of to steer in the right direction.
So thanks again, this is David Caris for 2-minute guitar tricks and remember this is easy and you can do this. Thanks.
