Classic VW Beetle Bug: How To Restore Bumpers

Hey guys Chris here again from ClassicVWBugs.com. Today’s tip I want to talk to you about is called Bumpers. A lot of times this after marker bumpers that you buy for vintage Volkswagen do not as good as the German made sometimes that are from Brazil, and from Mexico, is very attractive sometimes when you see that. The price is a pretty cheap to get them which is find. You can get them they are still of great and shine great but a lot of times when you noticed after a little bit a while that is outside and this is rain or and still of water will get on it. It starts to pit just a little bit on surface , just like to see some surface rust coming up on top of the bumpers and it is not an indoor to your bumper. There is a solution to it.

This one actually had some light padding on a bumper and I was noticing with my thumb. I was able kind of take off the rust and take it off by a handy so when I got was go to S.O.S. bolo pad and spray the bumper with my cleaner insure it off has scrub them is come right off. Still season slight little Dutch n it as where the rust was coming out but on and ff still shines great. It preserves my bumper I do not have to out and buy new one. And you know what that is what I want to make sure to wax my bumpers and keep him protected all the time.

And a little god tip you want to do sometimes where your bumper will not get rust behind I swear by POR-15. You can get the clear paint POR-15 for that behind the bumpers and paint it on. And that I prevent any sort of what is happening for your bumpers ever again. So, try to built on pad S.O.S. on your bumpers to clean up those slight padding you might have on even some drips you might even get along the bottom or the sides or what are not and ensure make your bumper shine again..
