Today’s tip that I want to talk to about is the fuel filter in your Volkswagen beetle. If you see here, I got a fuel filter and this fuel filter comes from the fuel pump and goes right through the carburetor. Some people think that is enough. I think it is okay for now, but if you are having trouble with your volks, sometimes it is bugging or you might be suffering from performance, it could really might add some dirt or grind in your fuel lines. That could be all the way from the gas tank having a lot of grime in their and then getting suck through. Sometimes a little filter in the gas tank gets corroded and eroded away and then what happen are the dirt and all the grime from the inside the gas tank goes to the lines. So check the fuel filter first and see how dirty it is. If it is dirty,
A good possibility that is what the case is. Change your filter because dirt, quick again, you might have probably hit the gas tank now to flush that out maybe and boil that out and seal it with a pure water to prevent this from anymore dirt or corroding or rust coming through.
For the next precaution, what I do is if you have this problem, this dirt coming through the lines, I had a next shift filter back here coming from the gas tank coming all the way up out of here. I have to say I am not to see it here, but I have another one here going to the fuel pump and then one coming out of the fuel pump, tank to the coverage of two fuel filters so you get a double reaction and this could double the protection and then there you can see if the one straight from the gas tank is clean, but this one is still dirty, that means you might have dirt in the fuel pump. You kind of narrow down your problem areas there and see where the dirt is coming from, where the grime is from. We had that problem once before and the performance of the car was just not living up to what it should have been running at. So make sure you check that if you have dirt in both and it gets really cloggy, it seems like big particles in there, it could be a good possibility that your gas tank needs to be cleaned. This cause your old and I guess sometimes you have been sitting in there and it gets all sticky and dirty. So, try to fuel filters. Check that out and it will really narrow down your problems and to see where your errors will be before you start replacing things.
