I picked up these cleaning tips when I left home for college and didn't have money to pay for a cleaning service. I also taught myself how to cook so be sure to check out my studio periodically as i add cooking videos.

I'm pretty sure this is a gag. This seems like someone trying to trick people into ruining their discs. This is simply a terrible idea. Toothpaste is abrasive and wiping them in a circular motion is exactly what you're not supposed to do. Maybe he didn't mean to give such bad advice and was really trying to help. Either way, this is a really terrible idea.

There were several things that you should not do with a CD or DVD: 1. Do Not rub ANY abrasive substance on the Disc. 2. Never Rub in a circular direction clockwise or counter-clockwise on the Disc. Any fine scratches left on the Disc will affect the reading of the Disc. You should use a mild solution of either liquid Kitchen soap or a Window washing solution. Then, Dry with a soft clean cloth (many paper towels are harsh and leave scratches on the surface of the Disc). Thank You.....JK
