Today we will be using Autosol to polish the lens from a Ford F150 pick up truck. For applying Autosol, I usually just take it right out of the tube and I put on my nitro glove. The reason I do that is to keep my hands clean and also you can just work it in very well and sparingly if you put in, I am using a cloth. You waste to put a bit on a cloth so it is just an economical way to apply polish and as you can see it goes on nice and smooth. You have good control of it. You certainly can put it out with an old T-shirt, we used microfiber closs at our shop and that works well too and of course if you are a big user and you have a lot to do and you buy Autosol on a can it also, you can also put it on with a paint brush.
We just let it sit there for a little while and just work and then we just start polishing it and you can see that this are head light like plastic lenses of for Ford F150 pick truck. And you could also use a drill with a buffing cloth but you would also want you just watch it a little bit to make sure that you did not get heat build up because you do not want work the plastic. But you can definitely see how this will make this light transparent and translucent again. And of course in some state, the state in Massachusetts it is another state if you have lenses that are really clouded over you can even pass inspection. And this blend is not so much to Ford F150’s but a lot of the curves are very, very expensive so you take a tube of Autosol. You can do quite a little job and we just kind a buff this now and of course if you use the power drill it would even be faster but you can save your lenses very, very quickly.

So you apply the polish with your nitro glove and then start the drill very slowly just because you do not want to spatter it and at lowest speed around 800 RPM the less is good. You will not get into trouble but you want to check for heat because you certainly do not want to work your lens after you profit from trouble all polish it your but as you can see if you change and you go a different 90 degree angles you can get a very, very nice finishing as much quicker.
