The Clinch Knot
Hi! And welcome to a fishing knot instruction video from videofishingnetknots.com. In this video I will show you how to tie a clinch knot and you start out by putting the line through the eyelet of the hook and pull the line, so you have something to work with and then twist the end tag over the standing part five times. So that is 1, and 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 times around, the standing part. Now you have this twisted line and down here by the eyelet of the hook, you will have a little loop, see the loop there and what you do is you take the end tag and you put it through that loop, and it can be a little bit tricky, but if you twist the line like this, you can make that loop bigger and then you put the end tag through that loop and grab it with the other hand and now just simply pull the tag end and the standing part to form a clinch knot.
You can help a little bit by pulling the knot with your thumb and your index finger here and when you pull in the tag end and the standing part, you will pull the knot tight, so just like that and all you need to do now is to trim the tag end and you will have a perfect clinch knot.
