Hi everyone. Today, I’m going to do a video on all your commonly asked questions regarding clipping hair extensions. So, let’s start.
Clipping hair extensions are basically a quick do it yourself, easy way of getting longer thick hair. And they’re great because they don’t actually damage your hair. And they’re a lot cheaper than if you’re going to get them glued up on that and actually glue in the hair extensions. And so you’ve probably had hair extensions too—so the great thing about clipping hair extensions is they don’t ring your hair and they look fabulous..
In order for that to be enough hair for the clips to clip onto, it has to be about four inches in length at the moment and any longer than that, it’s absolutely fine. And if it’s giving you enough hair to cover your clips as well so get about four inches in length as the shortest. They don’t take very long. They’ll actually only take a few minutes. It depends obviously when you brush with them and then you’re going to take longer because you’re not used to it. But once you get used to it, it will actually take you no longer than about three minutes—and it doesn’t really cause any hassle for me in the morning or anything so that’s a great thing about it. And they’re made from rammy hair which basically needs a cute cool correct which means that the hair is one down in the same direction and which stops to half in tying them up. And you want to always look how it’s why rammy hair extensions as they have the best quality. They will last the longest—that’s the great thing about them.
Now, this question comes up all the time. We also like, it’s yes and because they’re human hair, you could basically treat them like you’re in. Obviously you’ve got to be a bit more careful doing it because they’re not attached to you on scales. They’re not getting all the oils that they should be getting like in that to normal hairs.
Yeah, just take a bit more care. Always use a heat protect spray and when washing them, always condition and use a hair treatment. But yeah, when it comes to curling and straightening, you can do whatever you like to do. I usually have two sets. I usually have one for curling and one for straightening. It just makes a lot easier in between curling straight and you don’t have to keep washing them out every time I want to curl it and then straighten it. So, it just makes them always good.
If you can dye them because it’s human hair, that’s what happens especially for instances that they can be dyed. And obviously the general rule is it’s a lot easier to dye dark hair than is to dye blonde hair. I would highly recommend going to a professional, go to hairdressers and have them where you because you know they’ll get the design results that way. And if you really can’t and you have to do it yourself then make sure you use a really good quality dye. And always do, some of us, you know when you get hair extensions, you get a little one in clip pieces. And if you just dyed that one first just to make sure because if you’re going to dye them wrong and you did the whole thing then, it’s going to be a disaster. So, always make sure you do this on first but I would highly recommend that you do it your hair first.
It’s not recommended to sleep in your hair extensions. One, it’s not very comfortable from personal experience. And also, it’s not very good for your hair extensions. So, when you’re sleeping, you’re kind of blowing your hair around and as you move during the night and so it can cause damage.
The answer to that is depends on how often that you wear them or how often you’re using products on them. If you use hair spray on them a lot, then you’re going to have to wash them a lot more like anyhow—brown on it. It dries out a lot quicker. That’s why they don’t recommend leaving hair spray on your hair. So, the same thing goes with your hair extensions. That’s why before, I said that I have two sets because then I don’t have to wash them all the time between using hair spray on them and combing.
You’ll only need to wash them about every two to three weeks. But like I said, it depends on what you’re doing to them. And if you’re not putting much hair spray on them or not using all the time, then you need to wash them once a month. And other than that, every two weeks and then you just wash them separately. You don’t wash them the same time as you wash your hair. I’ll do a video on how to wash your hair extensions properly and that will be up very soon.
