Hi, welcome to watchmojo.com. My name is Tyler and I’m from Australia and I’ll be your host this evening. I’m here to explain to you some of the interesting Aussie expressions that we have down under. For example, “Go and jump out of the plane and ask for the first Kangaroo meat.” or “Where can I get some fresh Kangaroo?” It’s like going to America and asking for an eagle on a skewer or so forth.
When one of your friends comes up and asks for your pair of thongs, don’t go rocky on them. Thongs are a pair of sandals or shoe. So women don’t go get a pink a little number and put it on. Just relax, get a pair of thongs and just enjoy the beach.
Now, if you’re thinking of driving around Australia which is probably recommended—we have beautiful scenery, magnificent deserts but importantly to remember is that around about. Around about is a circle picture in the road and that traffic is a continuous flow to the left around it.
In Australia, when ordering for our breakfast now, we have two reasons for this. One is, that we’re probably drunk and secondly is because everyone is a mate. So no matter if you don’t know someone’s name, no matter if it’s a new person, you just address them by mate. So if you said to a girl, “It’s nice ship there.”
Three things not to say in Australian: one is [foreign language]. Now [foreign language] refers to a girl with a strangest name. Now [foreign language] refers to the protrusions of a lady.
So give it a go, speak some Australian and have a go to your mode.
