Competition BBQ Tips
Tip #1: The BBQ Work Station
Richard: Here’s a great trick, if you’re hunched over a small table all day, your back just starts to get wrenched. By putting these leg extenders on here and you can adjust them to the height that’s appropriate for you. You get it right on from table it works out really, really well.
Male: And Richard that’s just a PVC pipe?
Richard: It’s just PVC pipe, but you want to make sure is that the PVC pipe inner dimension fits the outside dimension of your table leg. You buy it from the store.
Male: What’s this? Is this the standard size you think?
Richard: It’s a standard size, it’s a 1-inch or 1 ¼.
Male: Okay.
Richard: So here you can notice I’m standing up here perfectly fine and the only thing that I’m going to do now on my table is I’m actually going to put a cloth towel down underneath my cutting board. The reason why I do is so that my cutting board doesn’t start moving all over the surface of the table. If you don’t do that, you start moving the cutting board around, slides all over the place. Hey, can I get, there you go perfect. What am I going to do it’s like sham loud, did you see that?
Male: Yes.
Richard: I’m going to go here and here. It’s very simple. I go ahead and I place this down and if I can get a cutting board, anyone of these cutting boards and I’ll show you what we’re going to do. So here I have I have a poultry cutting board. It’s yellow for raw poultry. I just place this down on top and now this doesn’t move. This doesn’t move at all. If I was to put over here without the towel, it’s all over the place.
Male: It’s all over the place.
Richard: That does not happen on this.
Male: Nice tip.
Richard: It’s not going to move.
Male: Hey thanks man.
Richard: Yes, you’re welcome. There you go.
