Confidence Building The Easy Way

Hi this is Peter Murphy here from How to Talk with Confidence.com. Today we are looking at confidence building. And I am going to show you a few simple ways that you can build a greater self confidence. The first tip is to work on your skill level are your capability when it comes to the activities where you want greater confidence. Let us say we look at making conversion as an example. If you lack confidence it might be because you lack capability. For example let us say you worry about what to say to people. Well that is a problem of not knowing what to talk about or more specifically you need more conversation topics that you can deep into when you are talking to people. If you decide you are going to work on having more to talk about that you will going to have a wider range of conversation topics you will find out you then naturally have more confidence.

The second tip is to decide that “you can do it.” As long as you have worked with your skills and you have more capability there is no reason not to have the confidence that you want. However, if you have a negative outlook and you worry about well that could go wrong, I might make a mistake, what if I cannot control the outcome? All of these negative outlooks will affect your confidence so instead you need to decide that you are going to have some courage. You are going to be able to handle whatever happens. And that comes down to a simple outlook the attitude of “I can do it” so that is a positive outlook that you can adopt and will have a positive impact on your self confidence.

Final tip is to think less about what you are actually doing. If you are over analyzing before you do something again you can get negative and you could get caught up in all the possible things that could go wrong. So I encourage you instead to learn by doing. Let us say getting back to our example of making conversation. Learn by doing, do not over analyze what you could say what that person might say preparation is good but if you go too far and if you think about it too much you will actually start to doubt yourself so learn by doing, get out there star taking some action and little by little you will notice you are getting better, you skills are getting stronger and you will have more confidence.
