Vanessa: Hi! I am Vanessa from New York. When my contacts are in all day my eyes get dry and irritated, and so I was considering doing LASIK Surgery, and wondering if I would be a good candidate? Christopher Starr: Hi Vanessa! I am sorry to hear about your dry eye problem. I can tell you that many of my patients who come to see me for laser vision correction evaluations also complain of dry eye symptoms. The good news is, that today we have many new medications, as well as surgical innovations all of which allow dry eye patients to successfully undergo laser vision correction surgery, whether it'd be LASIK or Surface Ablation surgery.
