Chris: Hi, I am Chris from Clifton, New Jersey. I wear contacts now and I am considering LAYSIK surgery. I would like to know the pros and cons between blades versus blade less. Kenneth Goins: Chris, LASIK is done with a blade and this is referred to as a micro Carditone. Blade less LAYSIK refers to using the femtosecond laser to create a flap. I think that you should have LAYSIK with the ladder or the femtosecond laser, because it provides a much safer procedure in less dry eye.
