Alex: Hi! My name is Alex from Lakewood, Colorado, and I was wondering pollen season is when my allergies pick up. Is the Pollen season the same time every year? When is the pollen count the highest? David Lang: Alex, generally the trees are in the air during the spring time, March and April; the grass is in the summer, May and June; and then weeds from mid to late summer to the fall. We have sort of a holiday-focused specialty in the sense that the peak of the grass season is Memorial Day weekend and the peak of the weed season in this part, in eastern part of country, ragweed over the Labor Day weekend. A major means of managing this tree, grass, ragweed allergy, weed pollen allergy is air-conditioning. So, that with the air-conditioning on the windows closed, you can count down on the indoor pollen count by 90% or more.
