I do not know about—I made to switch to cordless tools a few years back and there is a number of reasons why I did it. But one of the problems that I have and I bet you have with your cordless tools is that sometimes you do not get the battery life at them, in other words, they die halfway through a job. Well, you know what, sometimes it is not the fault of the battery, it is not the fault of tool, you might have the wrong blade or the wrong drill bit. Let us talk saw blades first.
These three circular saw blades look the same but there is a big difference. The first thing to notice is that this blade has fewer teeth than the other two. We use this particular blade for cutting rough wood. This blade has an ultra thin body and it has very sharp teeth and that is important because that reduces friction as it cuts through the wood and reduce friction means longer battery life.
This second blade, notice it and notice that it has many more carbide teeth than the first blade and this is a good saw to use when you cut across the grain of lumber and if you want to use it to go ahead and cut none ferrous metals, thinnest pieces of aluminum, copper and brass.
This final blade is excellent. Look at how many teeth it has. It has probably well over a hundred teeth. This is a great blade to use for cutting pieces of plywood or finish lumber where you want to minimize splintering and chipping.
Finally, let us talk a little bit about drill bits. It does not take much new about these things but pay attention to packaging and you will notice that some of them talk about how the twisting of the drill bit and the shape and grinding of the drill bit tip is made so that it extends battery life. When you get ready to buy your bits and your saw blade for your cordless tools, pay attention to the packages. Sometimes you will actually see markings on the bits or the blades to tell you that they extend the battery life on cordless tools.
Make sure you that and you get a lots of battery life which leads to get more work done.
