Corrective Eye Surgery Risks

Dan: I'm Dan, I'm 28 years old, and I live in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. Are there a long term risks involved in corrective eye surgery?

Brad Randleman: Dan that's a great question, any time you have eye surgery, there are potential risks involved, most of the risks are noticed at the time of surgery or in the immediate post operated period, it's very uncommon or patients to have a good out come if they are good candidate and then develop problems in the long term. Some of the things that could potentially develop in a very rare situation would be a regression were your new sidedness came back little bit, or some perpetual abnormalities but those would generally things that occur in people who are not good candidates before hand, so its vital to get an adequate screening before you have surgery.
