So, here I am on the homepage for the San Francisco Bay Area Craigslist. There are a lot of different categories broken down here that you can use to find exactly what you’re looking for. There's a community section which holds topics like activities in your area, pets, lost and found, local news, right share, volunteers and even some list things for classes available in your area.
The housing section allows you to search for things like an apartment or house for rent, rooms for rent, sublets, vacation rentals, parking in your area, office or commercial space for rent as well as the real estate listings of properties for sale. The job section holds just what you think. job listings for a ton of different categories. If you're looking for work as an architect, bar tender, in education, sales or even TV and film, this is a place to look.
There's even a section for gigs which is more of a short term classified section for things like web design and writing. Services is a great place to look if you need to find anything from a new hair stylist, legal advice, a mechanic, a mover or even something like a contractor.
The for sale section is where you're going to find that new blender, treadmill, piece of furniture, used car, musical equipment or even tickets to that concert you want to see. You wouldn’t believe some of the things people sell here so no matter how scare, try searching for what you’re looking for.
There's also a free area in for sale so this is really a bark and hunters dream. The discussion forum is a place to ask questions, answer questions on just about any topic. I'm going to cover the forums in episode nine of this series so I move into the section I use at least the personals.
This is for those of you looking for love as it’s a place to see if someone is looking for you or you compose what you're looking for. There's also a section for misconnections or people describes someone they saw out in public that their hoping to reconnect with. Use caution when browsing this area as it can be a big graphic. You also must be over 18 to view these post things.
Thanks for watching and don’t forget to check out the next episode in the fundamentals of Craigslist series.
