Craigslist Fundamentals - #9 - Craigslist Discussion Forums
The discussion forums on Craigslist are great place to ask questions of the Craiglist community. As you can see, there are quite a number of topics you can choose from. You can also simply read through discussions to see if something interests you and return to the main page by clicking at the link on the top.
So if you’re wondering if you can grow tomatoes indoors, then simply type that in here, select the location that you desire and then the category you wish to search in and I am going t choose Gardening.
So here are a whole bunch of discussions about the topic I searched on. You can read a summary. And if it interests you, click on the title where you can read what people are saying about this topic. And these are all conversations going on about growing tomatoes indoors.
You can then reply to the post, e-mail it to a friend, rate it or flag it if it’s inappropriate. In order to reply your post to the forums, you must be logged in to your Craigslist account then you can create a handle which is how you will be known in the forums.
Usually people pick a nickname of some sort. So just enter it in, retype it. Decide whether or not you want your e-mail displayed and you can enter in your own blog or website URL, as well as a note about yourself. This is so that when people click on your name in the forums, they know a little bit about you. Then click on Submit.
Something you should know before posting something to the forums; make sure whatever discussion you want to start doesn’t already exist so do a search first. And if it does exist like this, you can simply add on to it by replying.
When you’re ready to post something, click on the category you wish you post on and compose a new thread. Entering a title, what you want to discuss and then the area. You can preview it, go back and edit it and decide to be e-mailed when someone replies to the thread. When you’re all set, click on Commit and it is final. You can’t go back and delete it.
Thanks for watching and don’t forget to check out the other episodes in the Fundamentals of Craigslist Series.
