Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder. And welcome to your butterscotch.com tutorial on how to create a smart playlist in iTunes.
So, with iTunes open, put the file, new smart playlist. And now when that opens up –we want to do is create some rules that will make this playlist smart. So we’ll say the genre is – I’m going to say Rock. And then we’ll say add another rule, click on plus. We’ll say that the rating is greater than three, is greater than three.
And because I just want music, we go down and say Kind is not movie. Now I’m going to had it – Limit to 25 items. You see, you can also limit it to gigabytes, megabytes, hours or minutes but I’m going to put that 25 songs. Instead of having the random, I’m going to have to go by the genre. I want tot make sure live updating is checked and lick OK. Now it’s going to have the – name it.
And here, I have smart playlist that will automatically update as I add new music to iTunes. So it’ll be a playlist that’s constantly change – and that’s all there is to it.
