Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder. And welcome to your butterscotch.com tutorial on how to create a smarter smart playlist in iTunes. Now on an earlier tutorial I’ve showed you how to create a smart playlist in iTunes. And this time, I’m going to show you just how to make one a little bit smarter.
So what we’re going to do is edit one of your existing smart playlist. So we got a file, edit smart playlist. Now, your playlist will open up. And here you can see – I have the criteria that I used to mark playlist. So I’m going to add one thing to it.
And next, to make sure, I don’t listen to too much music with what I’ve listen to recently. So I’m going to say, Last played is not in the last 1 weeks. So now I have a smart playlist that won’t play music that I’ve heard in the last week. I might increase this to 50 or a hundred. And you can also change this to be months, days – if you change it to months, you won’t hear a song what you’ve heard before in the past month. So, this is a cool way so about all I have a smart playlist that’s auto updating but one that monitors which you’re listening to. And make sure you’re always listening to something new.
So, that’s a smarter smart playlist and that’s all there is to it.
