How to create your own icons on windows XP?

Open paint (click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Paint) go to Image, Attributes, type in “32” as Width and as Height. Make sure “pixels” is selected. Draw anything you want, or paste any picture you want. Click File, Save As Save as “yourname.ico” (no quotes) When you create a shortcut, Right click it, Click properties, click Change Icons, Find created icon, Press OK.
