Jennifer Perkins: Oh no! You’re doing a Halloween party and there a lot of cheesy garlands.
Toss that store about steps because I’m going to show you how to make
some handmade awesomeness. I have some cool little decorative trees
over here that we’re really easy to make. So I started with this little foam
basis, you can usually find this in the floor department at your craft store
they’re really cheap and needs you to come buy.
Now to start out green but I took this little guy outside and spray paint it in
black because you know everything is Halloween it has to be orange and
black of course. And they obviously come in jumbo size you know the
bigger the better. In this when I covered with hot glue with little pieces of
candy and alternating black and orange and black and orange all the way
around over here also yummy but a little bit more time consuming I use
black and orange jelly beans and again just wait into a pattern all the way
around my little coat. Then we have this one over here if you wanted to
just to use some tissue paper. I have some over here and orange and black
already cut into the perfect size little squares and I am going to use a doll
to get the little twist and pop that I need.
So, I’m just going to take the square twisting on to my doll don’t take it
over here and hold on to a little bit and dip it in to my hot glue and these
are really easy to find at the crafts store and it makes it really easy so you
don’t have to use a hand on a gun. And so I’m then sticking this right on to
my cone and this is where the doll comes in handy you might be thinking
why. Why we using that, it doesn’t really seem clear when you’re just
doing one but when it’s all filled up with a little pieces of tissue paper this
going to be some blank spots from time to time and your only get to those
blank spots using your little doll. It takes a little bit of time and I think its
low work away.
