Hi everyone! Today, I am going to teach you how to do the drop vanish. This is another great easy to do coin trick and today, I am going to use a quarter. You could also use a half dollar. And here is what the performance looks like, you take the coin and just hold on to it like this. Show your other hand empty, take the coin just like so, rub it, keep rubbing and it actually melts away just like so. Now I am going to teach you how to do that effect.
Obviously you need your quarter, and you just take a hold on to it between your thumb, first finger and your middle finger. I have it down about half way. Okay, now, you are creating the illusion that you are taking the coin with this hand but what is really happening that is why it is called a drop vanish is this coin falls into your hand.
Okay, so here is what they are not seeing, you have the coin just like so this hand comes across pretends to actually pinch it and you drop the coin down into your hand okay. And then you just take, rub it, make it disappear. Okay, so one more time, show the coin, place it in your hand, show this hand empty, go to just take it, rub it and really seldom it is there and make it disappear.
This will take a little bit of practice because you really need to believe that you are taking the coin. If you can sell that you will fool your audience. So it is very quick. You cut it over like this, drop the coin into your hand as you are pretending to pinch it, take it away, your eye should be at this coin over here never look somewhere you do not want your audience to look.
Okay, so I am looking over you, I believe the coin is here even though it is right here and by looking over here their focus will be drawn over here not down here at this time. I can put it in my pocket it is gone over here and I can just make it disappear. So that is an amazing coin trick please practice that 15 or 20 times in front of a mirror once you have it down just right, you can go out in the real world do it all you need is a regular coin.
You can borrow it from someone and that is the real magic. And often the simplest magic really is the best. So go out do the drop vanish and have some fun.
