Jason Hill: Hi! I am Jason Hill. In just next couple of minutes, I am going to show you an awesome chile verde recipe that's going sure to be hit in your home.
Of course, you all know what this is, it's a crock-pot or also called a slow cooker. It's basically an electric casserole that cooks your food at a low, moist heat and is also designed to cook your food from anywhere between 4 to 12 hours. When I am cooking something in here that gives me plenty of time to catch the games on the couch.
Another great thing about these crock-pots is there is really nothing to them. You have got a lid and you've got an insert. The insert sits in the electric element, which heats up your bowl, which in turn evenly cooks your food, clean up as a breeze and you can walk away from this and let it cook all day long.
Okay the only real cooking you have to do for this recipe is to sauté the onion, cilantro and garlic before you add it to your crock-pot. I have got two tablespoons of oil in there and always pre-heat your oil before you add your ingredients that you need to sauté. This has been about two minutes on high, now I am going to go ahead and add the chicken and I am going to let this go for about another minute and then we will add it to the crack-pot.
Okay. Let's add our ingredients, and chicken. Give it a good stir. Set it on high and it will be ready in four hours. Alright now it's time to assemble. You can get this out of bowl, but I prefer wrapping it in a tortilla. Put a little sour cream in there, little cheese and of course, some homemade salsa. Let's wrap this bad boy up.
Look it's so good, I have already finished half of this breedo. So, if you want to be a hit at your next party, or the parking lot party, or the tailgate try this recipe. Thanks for tubing in.
