Cruising Amsterdam

George: We start this cruise in Amsterdam, studded with canals, bicycles, leaning houses, diamonds and delft. Amsterdam is the capital of the kingdom of the Netherlands with 720000 residents. It is the diamond cutting capital of the world, home to magnificent churches and museums. But perhaps, it’s greatest tourist attraction is the red light district, prostitution that is out in the open and regulated by the government. It goes back to older times when sailors came to town, the women held red lights under their faces to enhance their appearance. And while you’re here be sure to take a canal ride through the city’s many charming neighborhoods. After a full day in Amsterdam, it’s time to set sail.
On this strip, you’ll sail for several hours just to reach the Rhine River.
