Male1: Of course, one way to make your business efficient is to use CRM software or Costumer Relation Management Software. It keeps tract of all your customers and makes your sales force productive. We’re talking with Derrick Robert from Ten Digit Software today thanks for coming on the show.
Derrick Robert: Thank you.
Male1: Well, a lot of company sales forces are out on the road and you guys make a software that enables like I said sales force to access all of that customer information called mobile access.
Derrick Robert: That’s correct, yeah, mobile access falls in the category of CRM mobility, so what were enabling organizations to do is have their sales people securely access and utilize CRM anywhere, anytime being at the mobile smart phone even if they don’t have a wireless signal.
Male1: Well, let’s talk about 10 Digits first off, how long have you guys in business and how long is mobile access been around.
Derrick Robert: Sure, yeah, 10 Digits it’s a Vancouver-based company, been in bushiness over 10 years. We’ve had a history in the CRM community and CRM solutions. Mobile access has been available in the market a little bit over four years and it’s just taken in particular last two or three years organizations are realizing they can get a lot more out of CRM and people in field can use it anywhere, anytime.
Male1: So mobile access works specifically with Microsoft CRM.
Derrick Robert: That’s correct, yeah, Microsoft dynamic CRM is one of the fastest growing CRM platforms in the space.
Male1: Why is it important for businesses to look at making their sales force more mobile?
Derrick Robert: Many organization have invested a lot of money in CRM Software. They want to make sure they’re customer information is being tracked. The challenge with that there were many other people in the field doing of access to that information while they’re out there.
So they want a better enable their people to utilized CRM in the field and they want to ensure the sales people are updating CRM with relevant information what it's fresh in their mind when they're in the field. Versus hoping they remember to do when they get back to the office or back home in the evening.
Male1: Well, it really comes down to fact that information is power, the faster you can get that information about that costumer to that costumer the more chance you have to actually make a sale.
Derrick Robert: Absolutely, so you can provide for your people or for your organization that competitive advantage. They can be a lot more productive and a lot more effective versus the next guys who comes in and he doesn’t have answers in this finger tips. And you know sooner or later customer are going to figure out which organization they want to work with.
Male1: So mobile access what kind of device it doesn’t work.
Derrick Robert: Sure, so mobile is a fairly sophisticated client server system, so on the back office there are some server software and in the back up is network. But from there it can extend out to BlackBerry devices or Windows mobile devices or mix of BlackBerry Windows mobile devices. And in a not too distant future in the next few months, we’ll also going to come up with the solution, specifically for iPhones.
Male1: So I understand that mobile access is recognized by Microsoft as kind of a de facto standard. What makes mobile access so unique then?
Derrick Robert: Well, there’s a number of aspects of making it unique. One of the them is just from an implementation standpoint. It doesn’t require a huge amount of customization work. Unfortunately, most mobility applications you have to reprogram everything you didn’t see here, you have to reprogram it, so that element ahs been taken away.
Secondly from a user perspective, we’ve made a very, very easy for users. Again, most mobility applications or a user may have to download the records to their device or do manual synchronizations. We’d taken that away. This software just pushes their records to their doors.
Male1: So let’s talk about the implementation process. We’ve got Microsoft CRM in our office, we’d phone up 10 digits what happens next?
Derrick Robert: Yes, you’ve got Microsoft CRM in your office, you phoned up 10 digits and you can phone up 10 digits or one of our partners and we work with the organizations to understand they’re objectives and determine what the best fit it’s going to be and what are the requirements and then we can help deploy an implementation of our software. It's relatively straight forward from a technical standpoint.
Once it’s clear what the customer wants to accomplish, this is a technology where that can be deployed in a matter of hours or maybe a day versus sort of the old school technologies which may have taken many days and many weeks. So it really cutting the time and cost associated with that. More so, it’s just planning upfront and being clear on what you want to accomplish.
Male1: Where can people find it more information about mobile access?
Derrick Robert: They can go to our website at 10Digits.com we’ve got all sorts of information there.
