Hi, guys. What we would like to let you guys take a look at is the 48-inch range by DCS, the name in cooking system. Let me say this is a pretty short prig and again, this is a 48-inch range, but they do make other sizes. They make a 30, as well as 36-inch size, but this is the big boy hero. And this particular version is a dual fuel assembly with gas on top and electric in your lower oven sections, but you can get them all gas. Again, you have a lot of flexibility with the DCS. And talking about the flexibility, you do have several different options for the configurations of the top part of your appliance here. For example, this particular range is a 5-burner unit with solo here burners being 12,500 BTUs and then you have some bigger ones at 17,500 BTUs, and so, it is something that you have a lot of flexibility with the burners and whichever configuration you get.
You also, on this particular assembly, have a built-in griddle, where they grill here too. This particular unit is right around 16-1/2 deep by 15-1/2 wide, and so, you got a lot of room to do your grill style of cooking. But, you can also get this unit with a grill. This is about half as large with the rest burners or you can get this unit with a built-in grilling section with the rest burners, or you can even get burners and grills with about a half grill and then the grilling section. And so, like I said, they got something for just about every household.
Again, talking about this assembly that we have here with the large grill section and you got the burners right here. I would like to take a couple of seconds and talk to you about the burners themselves. And I guess about DCS in general, they come from the commercial quality style of cooking and they have incorporated that technology and that intelligence in the business into their individual appliances as well. And something that is important I guess talking back to the commercial chefs and these big time restaurants, really three things that they focused on; high heat, low heat and easy clean up. And DCS is taking care of all of that with the array of ranges and that those three things are also important for the individual cooking at their home.
Guys taking a look at how their burner assembly and configuration set up, what they got you using pots and pans or porcelain coated cast iron in graving simply, a really nice, really heavy duty. And taking guys your burners underneath and I tell you that is where easiest really come out with just a very neat, a very good idea on how to give those who are going to be using this assembly the high heat and low heat and also the easy clean up.
Take a look at the burner. You actually got three different portions of this burner. You got a cast iron top, porcelain coated cast iron top that is. And then you have a piece on a brass section in between your lower cast aluminum heat and then also your porcelain cast iron on top. And brass does an excellent job of holding the heat, distributing the heat and so, DCS is incorporated that in and a lot of companies do not use that. But you guys take a look here. Underneath this side, this is where the gas comes in and then it escapes out of these channels but they got cut into the brass piece. That is what is used in your high to your low sections not to very low, talking about your simmer, but ultimately it is 17,500BTUs on your big burners excellent on a high heat break recovery time if you go something like pasta in a big container. They are taking care of the high heat that is not a problem. And as I mentioned, some of these burners are 12,500 BTUs, it is something that you might produced that burner if you are cooking in a smaller pan or a smaller container, you did not want to have flames overlapping around the sides and so, they provided that for you as well. So, high heat you covered, you are in great shape, but the low heat is really committing even bigger than what they have done with the high heat.
As I mentioned, talking about this brass heat on your low simmer heat on this particular unit, the flame does not actually come out of the brass part, it comes out of this groove in cast aluminum itself. Now when we are talking about simmering here, simmering on this particular unit, 500 BTUs allows you to achieve roughly around a constant 140-degree temperature for simmering.
Let me tell you, it is something that if we were to take and borrow one of these units set on simmer, put some water in it, put a cucumber or whatever you have, once it is 140 degrees, it maintains. We can gladly, we can do whatever, and it is going to stay right there at that temperature. And they have come up with again because the gas unlike some of the DCS’ competition, where simmer, just simply minimizes your normally large flame here. They have come up with the new scheme of getting the gas around the smaller section, just a small little blue flame which you guys had set up. Really the best type being here…
