DJ Magic Wong: What is up everybody this is Boy DJ Magic Wong here. Today I just going to give you a little intro to DJ, and just show what is up with the mixer and turntables and why not see you now what DJ’s are doing once they get behind the tables. So come on let us get started.
So, basically what DJ is fundamentally is just moving from song to song, mixing songs back and forth and this mixer right here facilitates that. You are playing one song in this and if you queue it up the other side on this end and you mix the actual songs is by moving this fader right here which is actually called the Cross fader. It is moves from this channel to this channel likewise back and forth.
Male: What I am doing is, when a DJ is got his headphones on his listening to this song while this one is playing by using the queue level right here. So I am listening to this one right here, queuing it up, I am trying to matching the beat to this song right here.
What I am going to teach you today is beat batching. Beat batching is basically the most sub fundamental thing about DJ and it is just really take me off sometimes while I go to a club, and there shoot the DJ just is not mixing his beat, so, that his just going from song to song, like his playing that it of on iPod. Every song in the world really breaks down into eight counts. So, you know for instance you have this song right here, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and it just keeps looping and looping.
Basically, as a DJ you got to pick up the eight count really quickly, you got to find out where its starts and where it ends and where it loops and you line up your next song accordingly. So, I am listening to this song over here. Meanwhile, I am also listening to this one and we are going to line it up. Two, three, four, five, six seven, eight, one (Music Playing). Then you go into the next song, just is like that, you may line up the eight counts that is our work. It is very simple.
