We have a goof question over here saying well what if they have got two hands and they are in this position, not the other way around like a fencing position with one hand? Good question. From here I am going to do my headbutt and now I can get to the groin whereas when he was in that other position -- that was the only -- my knees -- my strike was the knee, which is painful but not quite the same, trust me, as going the good groin shot. So how they are standing, it almost doesn't really matter and particularly for their legs.
Let's talk about the two handed. Really when anybody is in a two-handed grip, only one hand is really hanging on to the gun, right. The other one is what, it's just supporting it. It is just -- so it's not like they are doing that. I am not saying that once you grab the gun I want you to do and that they are not going to bring their second hand in to play. But again, when I am in here pull him back, pull him back with two hands. It does not a matter and you will see in particular, at the end of this whole thing, I am going to funnel you down to just a couple of basic concepts and it doesn't matter whether he is left footed, right footed, he is hanging on to it with his left hand or right hand. He has got both hands on it. He is got a tipped up -- like gang banger style or whatever. It doesn't really matter, okay, the concept is the same.
Step 1 - don't get shot, whether he has got it with two hands, whether his feet are left forward or right forward, it doesn't make a difference. You just need to get inside the circle and you are going to hit him with extreme close quarter strikes, headbutts, elbows, knee strikes, alright. He has got that pointed at my head and here is -- I am going to talk about those 18 points right now, because when I see other people do disarms and I say, “Do you do gun disarms? “Yeah, we do a disarm.” Well they mean that a disarm, and it's typically this one here. And you know they even do this business where they do that where you shoot him and all that. Some of you have seen that, probably.
Well just taking the front high as an example. You need to go -- you can go to the left, you can go to the right. You can go straight up. If it is in the middle you can go left, you can go right, but you cannot go straight up, alright. Maybe he has got it pointed at your crotch. Okay, you can go down to this side, you can go down to that side. So you say why would he point that your crotch. You can merely tell him that I wasn't sleeping with his wife but he doesn't believe me. You can have the side and you are only going to be able to go this direction because you are not going to have time to come this way and so same thing here. You are going to go that way not come back here.
From this side, he can be in front of the arm or he can be behind the arm and this is a symmetrical thing. He can be this side and this side. From the back he can be high, alright. You can go this way or you can go this way, but you cannot go up. Okay, that does not work. He can be in the middle here and you can go this way, and you can go that way and that's 18 points, okay.
Why would you go, you know, this works great until somebody sticks the gun in your face and your wife is standing over here, okay. Well you need to be able to go this way, except that your kids standing over here too, right. So that's a little high. I mean at a certain point you do not almost have too many choices, but that's why it's good to practice for more than just one disarm from here. It gives you options.
The other thing about that is I think that, that makes -- even if somebody would have practiced and we will talk about some. We will do these from some of these points. It is made to seem as though it is like a whole long list of technique and you are in a stressful situation, your brain is not going to be able to operate like a jukebox, and select a technique out of a big list.
So again, as I mentioned this is all going to funnel down to a couple of broad concepts and you will see that, for instance, I will get into some specific disarms because we are getting to Step 4 now. Some of you said okay, I am here, and I did this, I hit him here, now what do I do.
Alright, so we will talk about how do the strips.
