STEP THREE
DEVASTATE YOUR ATTACKER
Step three, devastate your attacker. Once you have successfully accomplished step one and step two, not getting shot, controlling the weapon with two arms, two hands; one arm, two hands, you need to strike your attacker.
From this position you will see that by the fact that I am using both arms, tying up both of my hands, I don't have -- there won't be any punching involved, no palm heels. From here I am going to have to use my legs, you have foot stomps, breaking bones in the feet. You have knee strikes. This happens to be from the outside. If you happen to be on the inside you can see knee strike to the groin, very, very effective. If you are a Law Enforcement Officer or a Security Agent and you have particular defensive tactics training, you can use whatever close quarter strikes you have been taught. If you are a martial artist, whatever, the best techniques, close quarter techniques your system has, use them.
So from here, one of the most devastating attacks you can deliver is a head-butt. From here very, very close while you still get to tie up both of your hands controlling their weapon.
Now let's talk briefly about the head-butt. Keep your chin tucked. Remember you are striking with the thickest part of your skull, the crown here, to hopefully what the soft target on your attacker. Cheekbone, eyebrow, nose, if they are looking right at you which they probably are, then that strike right there with the ridge of your head to that nose, bang. Going to be very, very effective in distracting your attacker.
It is possible to free up one of your hands briefly to deliver a strike, and you can see that if you do this correctly you can go from a position like this from here, you were inside the danger circle, you can throw an extreme post quarter strike elbows very nice. So from here you can deliver that elbow strike, and still stay inside.
You can come back with an elbow strike and maybe an eye rake and bring yourself right back around to a good controlling position. Whatever extreme close quarter technique your system uses whether it's a martial art system, whether it's a defensive tactics system, it doesn't matter.
All the way through. It could look something like this.
Staying inside, delivering strikes and still being able to maintain control of that weapon.
