Right now this is -- say this is my nice straight line and his arm is in a nice straight line. There is about three inches, two inches difference. This gun during the disarm can stay at that same line and run right across horizontally. That's where you get the maximum grip break edge over.
When I do this one here I am doing the exact same thing, see that, just upside down.
For the disarms, alright, all those other 18 points, we end up in one of these three. Like I said it's not 18 different disarms to get to learn times five. Okay, it's just these.
This is one of these. This one is to do actually.
Speaker 2: Are you okay?
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Great!
Speaker 1: In my opinion, this is one of the easiest ones to do. You also don't have to even get into a technique if you just pow and do this, you can do that -- you can do this as a take-down and just stay right here until the other three guys are with you jump on him.
Now this one can -- you can slide this right up and hang right on and just pin that right there. See how much control you have. Now you can let go with that and do that, and then the strip goes just like that, you can see how you have got to move around with it.
Just keep twisting, push right in. That's okay, there you go. See that? Once you break that grip. So from here you can go pow, and just do this as a take down. You can still do the strip or you can roll it that way.
The other thing to keep in mind is, we haven't gone boom, we haven't blasted with elbow strike, that's going to be a big factor in this.
From here again, scoop an eye out. Do a strip, bust a finger. You can do the disarm in that direction, if he's got his finger on the trigger. Don't do this, don't reach over the top because remember you have no deflection move, on the whole lot you haven't deflected the gun. So the deflection happens here. Just keep your elbows down and just do that, and then I am draping after that. So turn out to reach around to grab it.
Speaker 2: So that's why you are not rolling around it, you are rolling into it.
Speaker 1: No, I am rolling into it. If I do nothing it will go like this, and turn. See how close I am and see how it deflected the gun and I have not really moved my arms and into anything at all, that's what you want. It's really comes down to the formula of get inside the circle, hit your attacker and then stay inside the circle when you are doing the disarm.
Let's say you've got like this and instead of being upside down, so you're really breaking the grip like we talked about. You're back, you are in this thing here where it's just twisting. When I twist, switch up, get in close. I am not going to say you are not going to make mistakes.
And somebody mentioned -- said, well, the temptation is what if I like that and what if you do go like this in your way out here?
Well, that's okay and that maybe a reaction. What you are going to do is go, oh-oh -- and if you start outside of the circle, you can do step one and step two successfully and be outside of the circle. The longer you stay there the greater the chance that this is going to fail. So it's okay if when he points it at you, you go, you do this. As long as when he steps back and pulls the gun to him and does this you close the distance, get inside the circle. Pow, start hitting him.
