Hey guys! How are we doing today? Back to another video, this is going to be another application review so let’s get this one started. I got a few new apps for you today actually all of them are free. First one is going to be Dance, Dance Revolution American Lite, quite a mouthful for the title but it’s a very fun game, very true to the original game that you see on a console systems. If you don’t know what dance, dance revolution is I don’t know where you’ve been, you’ve been sleeping under a rock. But what it is, it is a series of four different arrows: up, right, down and left and you’re supposed to be able to dance with your feet and step on these on like a big pad or anything like that. Here is an explanation of it but for this little iPod and iPhone application, what you doing is using your fingers. Very similar to the console style video game Dance, dance revolution but it’s just using your fingers now. Very great game play, very quick, no frame and issues, the graphics look so similar to the console version of it and it’s very simple.
So down here we have the game pad: up, right, down and left and when these arrows coming up go over the ones up at the top that’s when you tap. It’s very similar to guitar just reversed. So as you guys see very simple game play, you got a rating per note or per arrow I guess: perfect, good, okay, marvelous there’s a bunch of them. But anyway so for the very top of your screen is like a boost meter, it shows how well you’re doing, how much the crowd is like on to you, how well - it’s pretty much your performance and how you’re doing. But as you can see right here changes a little bit, there’s a little hold note, wow I only screwed up. So anyway there’s only one song in lite version called flowers it’s like a heavy dance rave song, I don’t know. So at this top you guys can see my rating is just going to very quickly down it’s just completely deploying.
But anyway here’s your score down here it’s on basic, there’s only difficulty that I’ve seen so far on the lite version. But it’s a pretty fun application I definitely recommend the lite version. If you’re in to the whole DDR series, the consoles I would definitely go out and buy the game. I don’t think it’s too expensive but I don’t think I’m going to actually end up downloading a full version because that sounds something that I could see myself playing too often but live versions fun to mess around for a couple of times. That’s called Dance, dance revolution lite, it might have the word American in it depending in where you’re from that’s what I just showed you though.
Anyway next one that I have for you I just downloaded is now a free app, it used to be 99 cents but thanks for that app Sniper I got it for a free. Very fun application called Spot it! What it is, it shows you two pictures that are just about 99 percent similar and each of these pictures you have to find five differences by simply tapping on the screen. So we will do new game and I’ve already played this but example, this little bingo card right here there’s less dots on this card and there are the top ones you just click. Either you can click on the top or the bottom it doesn’t matter. Another example is these cards right here, this one is a three of clubs that has three clubs, this one is a three clubs but it only has two clubs in the cards. You click the three of clubs very simple just like that; it shows a red plus arrow over where you’ve already got it.
Here’s a good example you can actually see what the football, this one doesn’t have any laces this one does, click this one down here and it’s pretty easy so we’re just going to zip to the rest level and where is that four thing, here we go or fifth thing, I’m sorry. So then you base on your score under the time and how many times you messed up but anyway another difference just shows two different pictures every time or a two, I don’t know, similar yet different. I don’t know how to say it. But anyway here we go top ball up here is blue this one’s red; this little front is white, this one is black. Right down here from a little top see this red bridge over the anime or the picture river this one doesn’t have a bridge; this circle on the - this axe on the wheel is green this one is red and then up here this one has two corks on the top and this one has one so you click this and there’s our five.
So I’m not a beast to these games, I’m very - I’m pretty good I’m not going to lie but the only reason I’m zipping through these so quickly it’s because I’ve played this for quite a few I don’t know, quite a few times. The only problem that I don’t like about this game so far is that once you go to the menu we’ll go to exit game and you can do new game. It always starts you, the levels are exactly in the same order, and I mean that could be good in some points where you missed one of the previous time and you want to try and go back and get it so you can go to next stage. But it just kind of stinks because the replay value doesn’t seem to be true amazing because if you get so far on the game you don’t exactly want to ever have to go back and have to do it again. I mean apparently there’s a bunch of stages that I don’t know why they have to order them like that but this is what it is, that’s how it’s mapped out for you.
Anyway this little prompt of bar in the middle of the divider has the time and it has three hints so if you click a hint it shows you one, two, three, try to waste all my hints they don’t go on to the next level so we have no more hints for the rest of this game until I lose. This shows you the stage number and this is menus to go back the main menu. Only a few options the main menu: new game, continue, high scores my high score is 12 thousand, try and beat it hope you can. That’s all I got for you guys right there it’s called Spot it! at the end of the it there’s an exclamation I hope that will help finding it. But anyways Spot it! Is now a free app from the app store, very fun, definitely recommending that one?
Next one I’m not so big of a fan of its called Star Link. This one from 99 cents to free also a little bit to go, thanks to app Sniper I noticed that one but a very simple idea but I just, I’m terrible at it. Each star has a number on it and that number is how many lines can connect to the stars and all stars must be connected once they have a zero on them. So example is start it on here is a two, so I can have two lines going from it. These ones are also two so I can have two lines going to wherever it’s I mean it’s not too hard of a game, I guess. Like right here, I don’t know where to go, I’m screwed right here, no I’m not. Maybe I’m not, yeah I’m screwed. I just don’t know what to do right now, I just completely going to panic.
So anyway you can click clean and done, if you want to click pause, let’s pause, okay it covers the screen now. Anyway if I want to click done it says “Ooops” if you don’t have it set correctly and then it just shows you the two gray ones, the ones that you don’t have correctly. I don’t know where, what I need to do here. I’m sure there are people watching this right now and they’re just yelling on the screen when I need to change but I can’t see it. Hooray! Awesome, we got it. Alright so I passed to that level anyway that’s pretty much the entire game. There are a couple of different options in the main menu, there is arcade boat, five by five modes, and there’s four by four mode pretty self explanatory. You can do change themes so you can do stars, little cute animals or you can do fruits and vegetable I think. I don’t know what these are. Anyway there’s global ranking, there’s high scores and there’s how to play. So it’s very simple game and it’s called Star Link a now free app from the app store.
Last one that I have for you called is called - last one I have for you called is called, that’s not right. Last one that I have for you guys for review is something Toy Tanks 3D Lite. I played through the first half level and then I get kind of bored. It’s an alright game the only reason I already checked it out it’s because it looks amazing, the graphic is forward are fantastic. It looks like an old N64 game, pretty great graphics, looks like an old platform or game card, or an old console game, I apologize. I mean it just’ its very repetitive. You don’t actually move your tank forward or back, all you do is you steer left and right and here this little guy up on the turret here and you just aim and tap down here on the right bottom corner and that shoot and they go back in then you turn it to hide from these port is just left part down here.
So I mean it seems like it can be a really fun game, I mean this graphics are just fantastic but there are the couple of problems, you don’t control the tank at all it’s just sad. It’s very repetitive; you can only turn your guy so much like I can’t go any further than that which stinks. So if there’s an enemy you’ve been working on is right behind you, you can’t finish them off sometimes and that can be kind of a downer. There’s no enemy helps, you don’t really know how many times when you just shoot an enemy that would be nice if they just have a little green health bar on top. And as you guys see I mean the game is just very repetitive. Your tanks is going around for you, you’re not doing anything really, all you do is just to tilt in left and right using the accelerometer and just hit in this right bottom corner.
The only thing that really caught my eye was the graphics, they are fantastic. I will totally give it that great graphics on this game, not too frame right issues, it’s such a great graphics and so many things happening on the screen at once but I just don’t think it’s really worthy to go out and buy the paid version to this. The free version out now definitely check out because there is not too many apps out there that are alike, there’s not so many great graphics, looks like console game but I don’t know. I would not recommend going out to buy the paid version but definitely try the lite version that is called Toy tanks 3D lite I believe.
Okay so those are the four apps that I have for you guys today. I don’t know why my camera just died; I checked on my memory card, my memory card is at 15 minutes and a half. So I can film for 15 and half minutes I only filmed like six or seven there I don’t know why. My camera clearly hates me; well I have to invest to a new camera soon, that’s a maybe.
