Hey guys, it’s Aaron from FreeandEasyGuitar.com. And this video right here is going to hopefully be me giving you some advice from some of the common problems you maybe running into so far. So, so far we’ve learned about the different parts of the guitar and learned about how to hold the guitar and hold the pick, different notes where to fret them stuff like that and we’ve learned some different chords.
So I’m sure about this time your fingers are sore and you’re wondering is there something wrong with me and my fingers are going to fall off, are they supposed to hurt this bad. And the answer is there’s nothing wrong if your fingers are going to fall off, but yes they are supposed to hurt that bad. Whenever you’re pressing down the strings overtime, it’s going to cause you a lot finger pain for I’d say the first month if you practice everyday. After about the first month, I can remember where else want to do the same thing. I remember giggling finger pain plus guitar to make sure nothing is wrong with me.
So if you guys are experiencing a finger pain it’s still normal, after a month so you get calluses on this and they’re not big rose looking calluses. Don’t worry this, it’s just kind of a thicker section skin on your hands and you cannot see them on. You can feel them barely if you rub it but the really what it feels like is a tip of your fingers are kind of going on numb but someday you don’t lose any functionality enough to worry about that cause any problems. So you finger pain will go away just keep playing.
Now if you stop playing for a series of months, your calluses will go away. Keith Urban when he did his stint in drug rehab, he’s our favorite artist even after that I mean he did what we do and he talk about one of this documentaries about how bad his fingers hurt when he start to play again and he later forgot how bad they hurt.
So your five finger prints are good. One of the other problems you’re trying to running into about this time is “Hey, I’m playing this and they don’t sound like yours do”. I can’t stress this enough make sure your guitars are in tune, get your tuner, practice using it. If you’re having trouble you know take a look at it or go into the guitar shop asking somebody if you have a friend that learn how to play guitar from somebody else and he is very knowledgeable about it. Have him help you tune your guitar, that’s really important keeping your guitar tunes going to help you out.
Another thing you maybe encountering is some buzzing in your chords.

And maybe a chord or notes are coming out as clear as you like. There are few things, just want to make sure are, one I know your fingers are hurting. So if they’re hurting take a break but a lot of buzzing will come if you’re not pressing down hard enough okay. You get buzzing like this if you’re not pressing down hard enough.
Another thing that can cause some buzzing is you want to make sure you’re not too far above the fret. I know we talk about this few times. Just want to pretend this is like ladder okay you’re stepping up. There is one ladder step and another one and you want to make sure that we are holding this and that’s then your finger should want to ride close above as you can even with your chords okay. You want to make sure that each of these fingers is as close to both frets as you can get.
So you’re making some of these chords and then like a G-chord and you may put this close but this close and this one maybe far up and that maybe why you're getting that buzzing. So if you’re getting buzzing within the chord, I would make your chord. I will play each string myself. Okay that was fun that was got a little bit of buzz. I need to check on my fingers and press down harder, okay try again.

Okay that was good, that was good. It’s good. How you press okay and I need to make sure I’m pressing it down hard enough for about the fret. Another reason that you guys maybe begin some buzzing, when you first start its going to tough to come down perfectly and exactly spot where you hold down your string but you don’t touch the other strings that will come a time. So don’t be frustrated, you need to stay with it. You’re going to run in times where you can get a little of buzzing. There are certain chords I still play bar chords that I get buzzing every once in a while just because you know I didn’t come down perfectly. So don’t worry about that, stay motivated, keep it up.
