The tile of this video is incorrect. Deepak Chopra is talking not about TM, but about mantra meditation in general.

everyone seems to be so concerned with money. "how much money do you have maharishi? how much money do you still need? how much money has TM earned you?" its so evident where humanity is right now. and it seems to me the TM movement is more noble than those sitting at home with no scientific background accusing scientists of being wrong just because they read a couple of clips on the internet. TM is at least helping to create World Peace.

Deepak Chopra's training and experience in medicine brings heaps to the table of TM. No one who offers insight should be turned away. At least listen and have an open mind to learn their perspective. The times I have used meditation have opened another world of experience for me. It is a phenomenal technique for enhanced awareness, emotional balance, sharpness of intellect and emotional well-being. I have incorporated it into my daily life and excited about a better quality of life w/ TM. Prayer and Bible study offer these same great outcomes w/ the bonus of one's closeness to God and peace within.

not sure what motivates deepak to launch a video explaining TM, perhaps for the exposure. TM is more clearly & more accurately explained on www.TM.org. it is definitely very different from every other form of mantra meditation. unfortunately deepak confuses this basic fact. " i've practiced this meditation technique for 35 years & it's obvious to me that the confusion displayed in the video & in most of these comments just reflects each person's own state of heart & mind, & has nothing to do with Transcendental Meditation. but to correct some misunderstandings: TM does not cost $2500, the non-profit TM org has not "made billions," & TM can only be learned from a certified teacher. there are also grants/scholarships from private foundations & the philanthropic TM org to help anyone learn who cannot afford the course tuition (hundreds of thousands of school kids have learned for free recently--there are philanthropic TM programs for the homeless

DC explaining TM in such a short clip has to be one of the biggest jokes of the year. It simply can't be done.Whose idea was it any way? DC's!This can't be done even in a lengthier clip. The technique behind what passes for T M (minus the Maharishi's claptrap and mumbojumbo) can only be taught in person and is the easiest thing in the world. The TM movement made billions of $$$ in a world wide scam when any well meaning person instructed in it can and should impart it for free as a public service. All that it takes to learn is a few minutes- the rest is all practice.
