Now here we have got a situation where the defender is on the floor, okay. He has either fallen or he has been knocked down. With the situation here needs controlling he has to got to get up, this is the worst place he can possibly be.
So he is going to get himself in a semi sideways position, so one hip is on the floor and he has flown his leg in a very powerful kicking position here. He has got control, his hands are on the floor, he can control any lateral movement and a very powerful kicking position. It's almost like throwing a classic martial arts sidekick, it's a very ranging (ph), a very powerful kick.
What he doesn't want to be is on his back, flat on his back, yeah, almost like a dying fly situation here. If we get back into the proper position, okay. Hip down the floor; you can see he can control his movement with his hands, to bring the attacker in dive. The attacker is going to try and get past, his legs are going to try and finish him up, okay.
So what he is doing he is kicking out, buying himself a second or two to get up and away. Adam goes back down and just shows you that get-up position there. If a kick lands in a good position there, he buys himself a second or two. This foot is coming in, down on to the floor, he is like a sprinter on the blocks now. He is up and away.
We will just walk through it again. You can control the movement; remember the attacker is trying to get past those legs. He can control his movements, he is getting up, as soon as he gets a good shot he buys himself a second or two, he is up and away.
In a worst case scenario there he is not going to clean away, if he get up, he is in a much better position than being on the floor. Being on the floor is the worst place you want to be. The worst case scenario, he is up, he is in an upright fighting position, okay, but it's a very, very clever way of defending yourself on the floor.
