Jay: Hi! I am Jay from Washington D.C.. What are some reasons why men will develop antisperm antibodies?

Christopher Saigal: Well, Jay, antisperm antibodies are a concern for men in terms of the risk of infertility. The antibodies confirm when a testicle is injured and the inside part of the testicle is exposed to the blood steam. Usually there is a barrier there that keeps the blood components from the testicle. So when this inside part of the testicle is exposed via trauma or surgery, antibodies conform to that tissue to the sperm itself and that can impair fertility.
