Okay, so I'm going to go over a little skin care with you. I'm actually huge in this skin care and I've just had to switch on my routine just a little bit lately. I’ve used this for years and I love it. But I’ve also used a lot of professional great products so it depends on your skin. Everyone is different and you know of course every skin is different.
So, I used like the Obagi system which I love, it completely even out my skin tone. It’s not something again for everybody. I've also used a lot of glycolic acid which is great when you’re trying to refine your skin, even out your skin tone, and it helps with the exfoliation process.
So now, that’s good. And I'm going to take a little break from that. I'm using smart gentle products and this is good for, you know, the everyday woman as well.
So, one thing I'm using right now is that you could see is Shiseido. It’s their extra gentle cleanser it’s a foaming and so this is—it is pretty gentle but it does remove all makeup so I love this stuff. And one thing I suggest with skin care for any woman of any skin type is to wash your face before you get into the shower. Most of the time, our shower water is so hot that, you know, it can be pretty drying or pretty irritating. So, I would suggest using just a lukewarm water and washing your face before you get into the shower.
It’s definitely made a big difference, just try it out at least for a week and see if you can tell a difference. And that please, please, please wash your face before you go to bed. And of course, wash your face in the morning as well. But you know you don’t ever want to leave makeup on, it clog pores, it does crazy things in the skin. I’ve so many models I've worked with, you know, they have crazy lifestyles and they start to experience a lot of blackheads, a lot of texture on their skin the built up from makeup because a lot of times your cleanser is not removing your makeup and a lot of times people just start cleansing.
So after you cleanse, I’m really not a huge toner or whatever person because they just don’t make us softener which is you know somewhat gentle. I used it maybe once a week. This is their version of a toner which is super—like I said super gentle and maybe once a week at night I’ll do that.
My all time favorite product, I came and tell you how much I love it. It’s probably on my top five is the MAC Microfine refinisher. This you can get at any MAC store location and it’s like 25, 26 bucks somewhere around there. And the beads are so delicate and so fine that you really don’t need to go over an area too much. It really exfoliates so I used this anywhere I shave or wax as well because it will help you to prevent any ingrown hairs which you know is great for women, if you wax your bikini line, it’s definitely something you want to do at least three to five times a week in the shower.
Again, use your exfoliator at night one to three times a week. And this can help you know with your exfoliation process to get rid of your dead skin and polish the skin. And you’ll notice that you don’t have as many blackheads or blemishes as well. And as you apply, it helps increase like almost of my circulation. It really, really makes my skin look more even.
And then I used the day and night cream by Shiseido. These are little guys. I like to buy their skin care packages that they have because it’s kind of nice to try things out and it’s a little more affordable instead of buying one cream for $80.00, you can buy a whole kit for like 80 bucks. So, the day and night cream, I love them. The day has an SPF 15, it’s not enough. I like way more sunscreen than that. So again, do this but then do your sunscreen after. So, the night cream is my favorite, it’s super rich and I use it every night religiously.
The other thing I use religiously that I seriously won’t be going to bed without it anymore is the Shiseido Benefiance Eye Cream. Now, this stuff is super, super rich so even though I have makeup on, whatever, I’ll use this stuff whenever. I’ll just use a little bit. And I want to show you how little I use because I feel like women overuse that product. And I think the more product you put on, the better the results—
So if you can see, I have such a small amount of eye cream and I'm going to pat it on my eye area. I have no eye shadow on, just my concealer. So, you’re placing it on the orbital bones. You don’t ever want to put, you know, rub it all over and put it on the lid or close
to the eye area. It’s is made for around the eye on the orbital bone like so.
This can be really pretty over your make up just to give you that shin and that really supple eye area look so put on the other eye too.
I’ve had this little jar for I don’t know maybe three or four months now and you can see there is not very much gone. That’s how little you have to use. If you use too much, sometimes you can get that, it’s I guess skin seeds or something, I’ve heard aestheticians call them. When the product, the eye cream is actually depositing into the pores are tiny little eye pores in here and it’s too rich. You know our body doesn’t even know what to do with it so it’s all deposited. You’ll see little white bumps. And I don’t how to get rid of those.
Okay, so just around the orbital bone here and the product naturally warms up and travels so that’s why you don’t have to slather all over the eye area.
And when your night cream, don’t forget to actually put it on the neck area and you want to move it up so play in like an upward motion like this and even on your decollete area because this is your areas you want to keep nice and soft and you know protect it from the sun as well.
And then for a special treat, I live in Colorado so it’s so dry here, so dry. And even though I have oily skin, my skin can become very dehydrated and very dry at the same time. It’s very irritating and you’re not quite sure where to go, what to do so one thing I've found and I absolutely love and it’s true I use this everyday but I really use a couple times a week at night in the winter is my Creme de la Mer.
Now, it’s a little more pricey and that’s probably another reason I don’t use it every single day. But then again, this is too rich and I start to notice whiteheads everywhere.
So, the Creme de la Mer you will get, I’ll give you a little tutorial on this so you get as much as you need. You don’t really need a lot. This is your eye cream, your face cream, and your lip conditioner so what you’ll do is you’ll warm it between your fingers like this—if you don’t warm it and you put it on, you’ll have a white face so you do have to kinda warm the product like this and then you press it into the skin like so.
And you know again, do the same on your neck just they say to press it in rather than rub and irritate the skin because if you never notice, when you rub in your creams how your skin is maybe red afterwards, you have pressed in your creams, treat your skin nicely.
And you know like I said wear a sunscreen, don’t tan your face if you are, if you do tan your body at least use a self tanner on your face because as you get older most of your—is actually done before the AGV team but as you get older, you’ll start to notice you know sunspots and you’ll notice discoloration and things that are hard the patient reverse you know, you may need laser treatments, you need intense products and you don’t want to have to do all that because sometimes that doesn’t even work. So, I would just say protect yourself now, wear those big sunglasses, I know you maybe think they’re crazy but protect that delicate eye area and that skin area.
So, I hope this helps. If you have any other skin concerns just feel free to message me.
