This is just some examples of how to pitch a spinning rod. This is the target, it's about 4 inches across, that's pretty small hole, if you can pitch into opening in the pads or next to a log or into some brush or under a dock, any small target that is hard to hit has got more chance of having a bass around it than any of your water targets.
So I am going to go into how to pitch spinning rod today. And basically anytime you pitch a spinning rod you are loading the rod casting without loading technique, casting that lure about 30-40 feet and hitting a precise target entering the water smoothly and quietly with lot of splash.
Although you may practice it lot, there are varying conditions like here my feet at the same level as the water, a lot of times in a Bass, but you are up off the ground a little bit. So it takes a little adjusting if you cast to get practice and hitting a target on a consistent basis.
So now I am going to do a video on the techniques of how I hold the rod, the line, and how I control the line as it leaves the reel so that I can control feather that approach into the water and hit that target where I want it to be. You can't get every cast perfect and I am not sure a pro may be even then they get it perfect every time. So let's show you how we do the cast, thanks!
