There are few things you'll need to do before you can begin using the Digital Blue Video Camera. First, you need to install the movie creator software that comes with the camera, it's located on the CD-ROM that's in the bag with the camera. It's important that you install the software before you connect the camera to your computer.
Next you will connect the camera base, which looks like this, to the USB port on your computer and then insert the camera into the base. You'll hear a beep when the computer recognizes the camera, if you don't hear the beep push down harder and wiggle the camera in the base until you do here the beep.
If you want to use the camera away from the computer, you will need four AAA batteries to power the camera. You can use regular batteries or rechargeable, either is fine.
Remember if you remove the batteries, or if your batteries run out when you are away from the computer, you will lose all the footage that is stored out in the camera.
You are now ready to begin using your camera.
