Digital Luggage Scale - Tech Review
I want to take a minute to show you a device that you might want to think about if you’re a person who travels. Actually, if you travel for business and you go to a lot of trade shows, this is something you definitely might be interested in looking at. It’s called the Polanza and it’s a digital luggage scale. The idea here is that when you’re at home after you pack your bags or if you’re at the office, you weight your luggage and what you want to do is you want to avoid getting charged those extra fees that you might have to pay when you get to the airport or even worse. Having to repack your bags and move things from one bag to another bag in order to make sure that each bag is under its luggage capacity.
I’ll show you how it works it’s pretty straightforward. We got this little back pack here that we got loaded up by stuff and what you do is you take the attachment and you put it through the handle that would be on the bag. Here is the handle on this one, so we’re going to click that into place and what I do is while it’s set to zero rating. I lift the bag up, hold onto it and wait for the beep, once you get that beep it actually registers the weight and you can see here I’ve got 8.85 kilograms.
You can also change the units to pounds as well depending on what the airline puts its ratings in. whether its kilograms or pounds so you can do both of them and again this one weighed in about 20 pounds, so if that was past my limit that I’m allowed to bring my carry on. I would take a few things out and put it in a different bag, its pretty simple. It’s called the Polanza and if you travel a lot, it’s something you definitely want to think about owning.
