Discover Barahona in the Dominican Republic

Tourism in what’s considered the Southern Dominican Republic has yet to develop to many extent. In communities like Bada Hauna, a small beachfront resort, most likely frequent by Dominicans rather than foreign tourists. There is however a certain small town charm here that is impossible to find in the developed tourist areas. The town square is still where people get together on weekends in the same manner that they have for a century. Early in the morning before sunrise, local lobstermen set out for the day.
