Hi, so you ever wonder how to get that volume icon down here in your taskbar, well it’s pretty easy. Go to your start menu and choose control panel, click on sounds and audio devices and under the volume tab, come here to place volume icon on the taskbar and check that box. When you click apply, it’ll show up down here on the taskbar. Similarly, if you uncheck that box and click apply it goes away.
So for now let’s go ahead and keep it on, we’re going to hit okay to close out of this window and I’m going to come down here and show you how this icon works. If I left click on it, it brings up this volume control settings and I can adjust it one way or the other. If I right click on the icon, I’ll be able to open up the volume control or adjust audio properties.
Now I’m going to do the top one first, you can see what that one is. Okay remember this window, you probably seen this one before, it’s where you figure out your speaker and CD player settings. And let’s right click again, adjust audio properties and that brings us back to the window we were just at. So then you can easily click on the mute or adjust the volume here or make other changes and settings that you like.
So that’s pretty much how you do it, that’s how you get the volume icon down here in your taskbar.
