Male Speaker: This is a pretty common question that I get this just about it everyday. Do I need two hearing aids or can I get by just one? And I always tell everyone, god gives you two ears for a reason and that's the hearing stereo. But more importantly, it's for localization. And what that means is if you lean up forward on one side, then your other side is essentially dead. So, anything that's going on this side of your body, you're not going to really hear.
Imagine if you're trying to cross the street and you're looking to your right, you're not going to hear anything on your left ear, if it's not amplified. Where if an ambulance coming down and you're in your car, you're not going to be able to tell in which directions it's coming from. It also creates what they call head channel effect and what that means is if you're only amplified in one side of your head, your head will actually block sail coming in from the left side.
Any sound elites coming to be blocked from here blocked by your head and not received by your hearing head. It's almost like knocking when you're limbs is out of your glasses or walking around like that all day. So, basically if you're trying to get by which is one hearing aid, you're doing yourself with the service and you can actually harm yourself, because after a while you may say, you know what? Maybe I'm just going to be cheap and I'm not going to get to hear it, so I'll just get one and link for down the road and if I have the money I'll get two. And you're not going to be able to wear to it at that point; your brain will get so used to only hearing at one side. You will not be able to wear two.
