Does Masturbation Reduce Fertility In Men?

Dan: Alright, a lot of guys want to know, I mean, this is a real serious thing for a lot of guys. Does masturbation reduce fertility? Jennifer: Fertility. Dan: See, I’m so afraid of saying that. It can’t come out right. Does masturbation reduce fertility in men? Jennifer: You know, my initial thought on that was, no, it doesn’t but like I always do and I’m curious. I’m not sure about something, I go to Google. Dan: Look it up. Jennifer: Yup, look it up so here’s what I found. The Male Clinic and they were kind of questionable, you know, everybody, no it doesn’t, whatever but here’s what the Male Clinic said, frequent masturbation does not reduce your sperm count nor does it affect your ability to achieve an erection. Dan: But it may cause blindness and get you to go to hell faster right there. Jennifer: Like process, only do it until you need glasses. Dan: Exactly, very important. Jennifer: And then there’s another website called malefertility.md and I think that’s the keyword there. Theoretically, it can decrease your sperm count temporarily right if you’ve already got a low or normal sperm count thus it can reduce the bang from your sperm. Dan: Okay, as far as sperm bang, look, I think most folks with this question are young guys thinking, “Oh! My God. I hear all this stuff, I mean, the society is so paranoid about masturbation or frankly anything sexual. Jennifer: Oh! My God! So many myths about masturbation, -- palms blindness, you know. Dan: Most of this from the days when the ever evolved the dolts of the time, would put down right torture devices on their children’s genitals to keep them from masturbating, yes, we—how evolved that was. Anyway, but you know in most cases, these questions come—where we often see these questions, from the younger guys, young adults, from young guys who are afraid, “Oh, My God.” Is it going to make us—I can’t have kids later on or something? No. Jennifer: But if you are maybe married and looking to have kids, that might be the time that you may—you know, want to back off a little bit right. Dan: I think what it really it impacts is it—when we have a couple that that’s having trouble pregnant and they’re in this mechanical cycle of, “Oh! My God! Let’s optimize every possible thing and have sex tonight at seven of seven, it says here. Jennifer: Hecovulation. Dan: Hecovulation, come on, you can get it up, come on. You know, in those cases masturbating six to— Jennifer: How would you like to be that guy? Honey, do it now. And not from a BDSM perspective. Dan: But anyway, in those cases, masturbating six to nine times it is probably bad. Jennifer: I mean, look, okay, it takes one okay, one sperm to fertilize the egg. Dan: Look out, its super sperm. Jennifer: SO, the average normal guy, if your sperm counts off by a plus or minus a thousand, its really not going make a difference, you know. There’s—look, there’s a lot of other things that can affect it more, okay, smoking is one, drug use, alcohol consumption, you know, if he drinks too much, excessive exercise, you know, you're a marathon runner. That can impact your sperm count, right. Dan: Yeah. Jennifer: And, oh, can I share the study that I found? Dan: I’m afraid that’s—what's that assure? Jennifer: When I was doing this research I came across this really asinine study, it said, it was proven, okay, this study, proof or a fact that if you're trying to get pregnant, a couple having sex three to four times per week was way more likely to get pregnant than a couple having sex once per week. And I was like, duh! Dan: And you know what, I have an idea, I mean, if somebody is looking to send half a million dollar grant somewhere and I’ll be happy to try to prove this that more frequent masturbation leads to more frequent orgasms. I mean, I would like to do an in-depth study on this and if somebody is hanging on to half a million dollar who is going to grant money, I’ll be happy to try to prove it. I will, and I’ll share the results with all of you guys. Maybe the guys may not want to know about this but hey! Jennifer: Hey! But we do want to know, we have a—well, okay, its kind of a serious question but you guys first of all, okay, keep it cool. Okay? Dan: Be somewhat grown up about it seriously. Jennifer: We want to know, what is normal? How many times do you guys masturbate on a weekly or daily basis? Dan: I mean, it’s a very fair question. Jennifer: I mean, what's normal. Dan: There’s such a phobia about this in society in general. Nobody talks about it and anybody that does isn’t serious about it. Jennifer: Yeah, and normal is not the right word.
