Dogs Health Diary
Speaker: This is my heath care diary to make sure you know what you should be doing everyday, every week, every month, and every year to keep your dog in great condition.
Starting with everyday, you should be brushing your dog's teeth. Having a session of hands on play to check them over for lumps and bumps. You should be checking their paws and their ears for grass seeds; make sure there's no grass seeds lurking in there. Check their eyes for signs of redness and discharge, and if you have got a long haired breed, you should groom them.
Once a week, you should check their ears for signs of wax. You should groom all normal haired breed. You should give them a dental hygiene chew to keep their teeth in good condition, and you should check their coat for signs of flea dirt.
Once a month, you need to give their ears a good pluck and remove any hair that's in there. You should trim their nails and check them and see if that needs doing. You should give them a really good dental chew or a big bone from the butchers to really work on their teeth, and you should apply a flea treatment, if they need it.
Then finally, once a year, you should have a trip to your vet for their vaccination and check up.
If you stick to those tips, you shouldn't go too far wrong.
