Rebecca Brayton: Some call the weather in this country the endless summer. Hi, I’m Rebecca Brayton and welcome to watchmojo.com and today, we’ll be checking out the climate of the Dominican Republic. Weather forecasts in the Dominican Republic often read sunny with a chance of showers, but these late afternoon showers usually last no longer than 10 minutes. Temperatures range by region. However, they are rarely warmer than 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The medium temperature for the year is a comfortable 77 degrees. Average temperatures vary by less then 10 degrees between January and July. The highest pine-covered mountain tops are the coldest parts of the country where temperatures do in fact fall below freezing on winter nights. Regions along the border with Haiti do not get much precipitation as compared with the northeast section. This mountainous area is where the Dominican receive the most wet weather. Warm temperatures and sunny skies make this Caribbean country a perfect tropical paradise.
